Elemental Doodles™ (ED) is the realization of a dream and here we are loving what we do. We are a North Carolina based business serving stampers and scrappers both close to home and far away with new, affordable, and innovative designs for a wide variety of stamped art. ED can be used individually or as a complete set for beautiful, original designs for cards, stationary, scrapbook pages, home decor, and any other item you can envision.
Pictured here is a card created with one of the original ED sets of images.
Just a little History
The company began in the late 1990’s as Rubbertree Enterprises, a husband and wife team. Back then unmounted red rubber stamps were all the craze. So many of our designs were originally created for unmounted red rubber sheets. These were shipped as whole sheets to the customer who then cut the images as close as they could and then used their mounting solution of choice. That could have been permanently on wood blocks (which we also sold), using the HALOS acrylic block system (this utilized hook & loop tape for mounting requiring only one set of blocks to use for all stamps), Tack It Over & Over glue, with our without foam cushion, or any of the other number of mounting systems that were available. Stamping and Scrapping conventions were hot back then as well. So we traveled around setting up at shows where we demonstrated, taught classes, and sold products.
Around 2009 we made a complete turn with the company. We retired many images and revised the ones we kept to be made into CLEAR STAMPS. Clear stamps were just starting to make their way into the art stamping world and becoming popular. But many were skeptical about the versatility and durability of clear stamps. We found a company that made a yellow resistant photopolymer clear stamp that had a natural “tack” to it and was perfect for fine detailed images such as what some of ours were. But we were also making another major shift with our artwork……we decided rather than to have full images only we wanted to disassemble the images and have them made in parts, or elements, so that the stamp artist could build their own images using the “elements” we designed. We did keep some of our main focal point images to go along with the “elements”. And we explain this more in one of our blog posts.
So, with all that said, the name “Rubbertree” just didn’t fit what we were doing any longer. It was time for a change. Elemental Doodles™ is what came about. Elemental Stamping using “doodled” images and parts of images to create a whole. With this concept every piece created is unique and one of a kind.
And today, we are reviving and revising many of the stamp sets that we started with in 2009. And adding Bible Journaling themed stamps to the line of images. With hopes of many more products to come.
