My first card uses the amazing Easter set “He Is Risen” ED004. I used the Mojo Monday sketch nmber 72 for this card. Let me just say I LOVE this sketch.
This card is 6 x 6. I stitched around the edges with my sewing machine in a zig zig stitch. I cut a strip of green card stock 6 x 2 1/2″, layed a piece of designer paper 6 x 11/4″ and then layered offray ribbon. Pulled a piece of ribbon through a button and tied a knot and adhered it to the strip with a glue dot. I cut a piece of brown background designer paper to 4 x 3″, a piece of green designer paper 3 3/4 x 2 3/4″ and sewed them together with my sewing machine. I LOVE MY SEWING MACHINE!! I cut a 3 inch scalloped oval with my Cricut using the Storybook cartridge. I punched an oval out of Canson watercolor paper. I stamped the wide cross from the “He is Risen” ED004 stamp set in brown Vivid dye ink. I adhered the oval to the scallped oval with red line tape. I finished the inside with a 3 inch scalloped patterend paper oval with a 2 inch oval of Canson watercolor paper with the “He is Risen” sentiment from the stamp set stamped in the Brown Vivid dye ink. I thought this car turned out a lot better than I had it pictured in my head.
